Hello We Are think EJ, and our goal is to create beautifully simple solutions out of the complexity of the modern, uncertain world
No one knows what's around the corner.
Life moves at such an incredible pace that it sometimes feels it's hard to keep up, let alone make plans for the future.
We understand the complexities of operating in modern society and help ensure organisations are well-prepared for current and future expectations around environmental and social value, governance, culture and values, inclusion and belonging, and purpose-led financial stability.
At Think EJ, we’re passionate about sustainability and purpose, and that’s why, for over 30 years, we’ve been supporting leading organisations, forward-thinking businesses, and individuals to be Future Fit.

Helping you develop your own future fitness
So, what does it mean when we say Future Fit? In a nutshell, our ambition is to support organisations and individuals to thrive in a complex world of 'competing' demands.
We bring together, in one place, the expectations of your stakeholders, including the compliance and investor communities, and your own teams to develop straightforward, pragmatic solutions that create sustainable value for you, your organisation, and beyond.
Being Future Fit means we create solutions and support organisations and individuals to be able to be agile, to make long and short-term decisions with compassion in trusted, open and inclusive environments.

So, how do we make it happen?
With sustainability, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. Every business has its unique goals and challenges. That’s why the first thing we do is get to know you and your organisation and your individual needs. We then formulate a plan to provide you with a bespoke whole business solution which creates value for you, your stakeholders and wider society.

say hi to the team

Hi, I'm Louise Ellis-Jones, the founder of Think EJ - hence the name. I have over 30 years sustainability and organisational leadership experience in both in-house and consultancy positions. Working at executive level, I have driven forward bold strategies and commitments, understanding how to translate these in to highly effective operating models whilst inspiring organisation-wide change.
I have had the privilege of working globally across multiple sectors - including education, energy, manufacturing, retail, professional services , finance, membership, charity and health. I thrive in complexity and helping clients to navigate uncertainty in a way which create purposeful change and long lasting value - financial, social and environmental. I have experience of developing strategy, reporting and disclosure, climates plans, organisational restructure and stakeholder management. I am passionate about supporting others to be Future Fit leaders and have experience of 1-1 and team mentoring and coaching.
I have significant experience of the education sector, in academic and senior leadership roles, including 18 years working at the University of Leeds. Beyond organisational leadership I have extensive experience of curriculum development and research development.
I'm incredibly proud and honoured to hold several Board, Trustee and Special Advisor positions, including being a Non-Executive Director at Harrison Spinks and working with University of Huddersfield Business School, the EAUC and Leeds Learning Alliance.
We have a fantastic group of experienced associates, which means we pull together the right project team for your needs. Our teams create bespoke solutions which are pragmatic and impactful, and most of all, we leave a legacy of knowledge and capacity which lives on beyond project completion - creating organisations and people who are Future Fit.
I am a sustainability/ESG and communications specialist with over 30 years' experience of working with listed businesses and SMEs in Retail, Financial Services, Utilities and FMCG. I currently provide senior level counsel and develop and communicate environmental and social responsibility programmes; including reporting and discourse. Alongside consulting, I am Chair of Leeds-based domestic abuse charity, Behind Closed Doors and West Yorkshire & North East Regional Advisory Board for the Canal & River Trust.
